The purpose of this study is to evaluate the physicochemical compatibility of cyclosporine with 20 selected drugs in BMT unit during simulated Y-site injection by visual inspection and turbidimetry. The results meeting the criteria for physical compatibility, admixtures were tested for concentrations of cyclosporine. Test solution of cyclosporine (1mg/ml) combined in a 1:1 ratio with secondary drugs in triplicate. Visual examinations were performed in fluorescent laboratory light and tubidity was measured. The samples are assessed immediately after preparation and at one, four and twenty-four hours. Physicochemical changes such as precipitation, color change, turbidity change or decrease of cyclosporine concentration were monitored to validate compatibility results.
